2821.0. "Interoperability between DMQ and IBM messageQ" by HGOM11::ROBERTWANG () Tue Mar 25 1997 06:14

    Hello ,

    Who could answer the questions:

    1) How DECmessageQ and IBM messageQ can interopearte ? What difference
       in the two Architectures ?

    2) If message in DEC messageQ and messages in IBM messagesQ exchange ,
is there need to provide application by customers to serve this ?

Thanks for your answer in advance .

We currently sell a product called DECMessageQ MQSeries Connection
which allows the user to exchange messages between DMQ and MQS.

Basically the software will connect sets of queues, one on each side for
each set , and provide a predefined response queue for each instance of
software running on the host. Header information is limited due to
    incompatabilities.

All three pieces of software must be running on the node doing the
exchange and the only platforms currently supported are AIX and HP-Unix.

You must contact product marketing for information about how to
aquire the software. Complete information can be obtained from the
    SPD and available documentation.

    Hope this helps.
