1108.0. "An American Werewolf in London" by POLAR::TYSICK (Belief in the Maple Leaf) Wed Jun 12 1996 15:50

    This is one of my most favorite Horror flicks of all time...great
    special F/X for it's day (1983?) and freakin' hilarious!

    Anyone who wasn't scared at any point of this flick must have nerves
    and b***s of steel!

    One of my favorite parts was when the dude that was killed by the
    werewolf (Chris?) was talking to his friend (David?) in the movie
    theater just after David realized he was now a werewolf. Chris
    introduced David to all the people he had killed as a werewolf and that
    these people could not go to heaven until David was killed.
    I laugh just thinking about all the people sitting around discussing
    ways for David to kill himself, looking all disgusting and bloody....

    I know I read something about the sequel being filmed,
    An American Werewolf in Paris.

    Anyone hear anything about this?

    My fave part in the film is where the wolf comes out of the cinema and
    causes havoc. The scene has so much happening, the bus crash/general
    panic  it's just excellent.

    I too have heard about a sequel. I understand that this time the lead
    is a female, although the name of the woman who's been suggested for
    this part escapes me at the moment.

    If the sequel is half as good as the original then it should be worth
    watching. I can't remember if Landis is having anything to do with the
    sequel though.

    The bit with the nazi zombies gets me every time.

    I have also heard of the sequel. I read it in a fairly reputable
    source so it must be true :^)

    Scene that made me jump;
    the dream-in-a-dream sequence (I think it goes...the nazi zombies -
    wake up - nurse creacks the window - suprize suprize - wake up again).

    Funniest scene;
    I loved it when he's recovering in the hospital room (after the initial
    attack) just eating breakfast, and he sees his best friend for the first
    time - standing before him, all hacked up (particularly about the neck)
    and he just says "Can I have a piece of toast?"
