    I'm not sure if this is the right place to be writting this, if not
    forgive me. 
    
    I heard they are planning to have a sequal to the Thorn Birds, any
    comment. I thought the first one was great. However, did'nt Richard
    Chamberlen's character die at the end of it. Ah thats Hollwood for you!

	I also heard about this but the movie will take place before Richard's Chamerlain's character dies - I think it is when Meggy's children are growing up. Apparently Luke also comes back into their lives. Don't know if any of the original actors will reprise their roles or not - the article didn't say. Mo

	That's what I've heard too -- that the second movie/mini-series would cover the time between Meggie's return to Drogheda (with toddler Justine and pregnant with Dane) and Ralph's return when the kids are 18 or so. I've heard that Richard Chamberlain was asked to do the sequel but turned it down. Tracy

	Yes, apparently he likes his life in Hawaii, and only leaves the islands for very special "projects". Sue ps I think he also made a comment about being too old to play Father Ralph.

	I don't know, watching the period of time between the pregnancy with Dane and Father Ralph's death seems to be a bit anti-climactic, doesn't it? i mean, we all know how the original ends. Wish they'd just leave it as is, it was a marvelous book and a good movie. sandy

	I just watched this again yesterday. Got it when it first became avail to buy....seems now that a sequel Would be anti-climactic but also the original characters were so good I don't think I'd like substitutes.....
