It is a remake, with Cage and Caruso in (more or less) the parts played
in the 1947 original by Widmark and Victor Mature. I have no idea how
far it strays from the original story, but I am anxious to find out.

| I saw it last weekend.
I enjoyed it. Great fun. Quite violent, weak ending.

| Joyce Kulhawick (sp?) on NBZ gave it a definite thumbs up. Says
that David Caruso did an excellent job and he will do well in
the movies. I don't know if I will go see it but will
definitely rent it when it comes out.

| "NBZ" - I like that!!
But personally I can hardly sit through the *trailer* for "Kiss".
Hearing the Chambers Bros. "Time" does redeem it somewhat :-).

| I saw this film over the weekend. The acting was very good all around.
Unlike the older version, more film noir, this version seemed to me to
be morally ambiguous. There are no clear-cut good guys and bad guys
anymore -- everyone is a little of each. Because of this ambiguity,
when the film was over I had a feeling that nothing was resolved or
settled.
David Caruso was better than I had anticipated, which was a nice
surprise.
