My daughter and her boyfriend saw this last night and neither one was
impressed. They said it was confusing and the acting was only
adequate. I asked if it was science fiction and they said "not really"
but didn't really go into it... probably because I didn't get any
further than that in my questions.

Well, it's supposedly based on a true story! :-)

I found this interesting, mainly for three (wrong) reasons:

1. To see Robert Patrick not looking at all like the T-1000
2. To see what Henry Thomas (E.T.) looks like these days
3. To see the latest tricks ILM had up its sleeve: decent simulation of
weightlessness, probably through some computer compositing trickery.

It is based on the Walton case that occured somewhere around a decade
ago. Although to make the movie "interesting" A LOT is changed. It's
practically made into a horror movie.

To shame... The Walton case still remains a mystery

I watched this one last night. I must agree with
the lackluster reviews in here that the movie lacked
luster. The only interesting part was the ten minute
scene of Travis crawling around the spaceship. The
whole movie felt like a 1/2 hour show expanded into
a two hour movie (ie. it had the feel of a "made for TV"
	movie :-).
