Yes, I'm back AGAIN, for the...lets see now...the 6th time i've contracted to
DEC.
Right, to business: Anyone else out there had any experience of Edme's Brewing
Sugars? This stuff is comprises of barley syrup and glucose.
I used a 1kilo can of it in a 5gall batch of NSB(Nutter Strength Beer). The
other ingredients were 3kg of Edme Diastatic, 1kg of brown sugar, 4oz cystal
malt, 4oz chocolate malt and Gervin English Ale yeast.
In primary the brew went crazy, it foamed so much that the small hole in the
lid
of the bucket got blocked and instead the lid was pushed off! The foam left a
nasty mark on the carpet.
The only thing that is different from my past brews is that this stuff is
gonna be stronger than any beer i have made before.
Anyone else had this problem with this stuff?
