2199.0. "Netman31 wants c:\ORAWIN" by chsr38.ch.oracle.com::RROHR (Cajun? Zeydeco? Both!) Fri May 09 1997 12:49

    I tried to install netman31 on a Windows95 PC, and when I change the
    default location it wants to use from

        c:\orawin   to   c:\orawin95

    because that's where I have all the Oracle stuff, I get the message:

    The location specified 'C:\ORAWIN95' is already used as an Oracle
    home for WIN95. It cannot be used as an Oracle home for 'Windows'.

    I don't want 2 Oracle directories, I want to keep the ORAWIN95. Is
    there a way around this?

    Do I need the NETMAN31 at all, or can I fiddle my *.ora files
    myself?

        Thanks,
        Regina

netman31 is a 16 bit app, so wants to go to the 16bit folder.

netman is supposed to make it easier to config you ora file. if you know
how to fiddle, go for it.
