DMU's backup and restore command is one way of moving the DMU
    dictionary.

The only fully supported way to move a CDO dictionary is the MOVE
REPOSITORY command within CDO, which requires that the two systems have
a DECNET connection and be running the same version of CDD/Repository.
Other ways can be made to work, especially if you have no external
links, but you need to be careful.

    Hi Ray,

Take care, the MOVE REPOSITORY is not supported for moving a repository to
a node that is not in the same cluster.

For more information on how to move a repository, please read the
chapter 1.3 Moving a Repository in the Oracle CDD/Repository User's
Guide Supplement Version 6.1 , or Chapter 3.4 Moving a Repository in
the Oracle CDD/Repository Using Oracle CDD/Repository on OpenVMS
    Systems release 7.0.

In addition, you can read some notes in this conference on this topic
for taking benefits of past experiences to get some hints in this
    procedure.

    Hope this helps.
