| Hi Paulo,
You do not need to install any intermediate version. You can install
CDD/Repository V6.1 directly on CDD/Repository V5.0. However, ECO 1 is
mandatory to avoid a BADOBJTYP problem. ECO 3 is even better. Note also
that Version 7.0 is the current version is better integrated to Rdb.
Hope this helps.

| Patrick,
Thanks a lot for your quick answer!
Another thing: Is it possible to explain the relationship between the
error NOCDOSYNTAX ("no CDO syntax to support a piece of the definition") from an
EXTRACT and an upgrade of CDD version (and also of Rdb version)?
Many thanks,
Paulo

| Hi Paulo,
As far as I know, I don't believe there is any relation between the
NOCDOSYNTAX and Rdb/CDD upgrade. I think the NOCDOSYNTAX at EXTRACT
time was already there before the upgrade. It could be a normal message
if , for example, you try EXTRACT RECORD when fields have no directory
name. You will need to investigate how this field has been created.
