126.5Telnet hostname?TMCUKA::ROWELLPaul Rowell @BBPMon Jan 27 1997 10:338
    Could anyone tell me how I can achieve what is requested in .0 ie

    for VT320e tmcuka.bbp.dec.com to open up a telnet session on tmcuka...

    I want to be able to start a terminal session from another program and
    don't fancy having to write my own terminal emulator!

    Paul,

    I just spent 2 minutes looking at your request and have figured out a
    hack which may or may not be acceptable to you.

    Create a session list for each of the hosts you expect to dial into.
    e.g. create a session list just for tmcuka.bpp.dec.com with default
    action being to open the session, and save to tmcuka.vtc.

    Then, use "vt320.exe tmcuka.vtc" to start a telnet session on tmcuka.

    Hope this helps,

    /Bill

If you have a session in your session list with the startup state set
to "open", then whenever you start vtstar, that session will automatically
be started (regardless of whether cmd line params are being observed, which
I don't remember whether they are)
