883.0. "NEED INFO on Tres Marie Amazon..." by ASDG::ADAVIS () Mon Oct 31 1994 11:32

Does anyone out there know anything about a Tres Marie amazon?
All I know so far is that their coloring is similar to a Double
Yellow Head, but the yellow goes down below the shoulders. Any
info as to how large they are, their talking abilities, etc. etc.
    would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

      ALD

As far as I know, there are hardly any differences between the Tres Marias
and the Double Yellowhead in terms of size or talking ability.

I think the Tres Marias has prettier coloring, though.

The Treas Marias Amaxon Parrot is a sub-species of the Double Yellow.

When the birds are 15 - 20.....the yellow goes from their head to the
toes in the front.....very striking. Also the RED on the shoulder is
    more prevelent.

    Great bird.
