    Edit to Date:

I accidently put 1994. It should read 1993!

I was thinking too far ahead I guess. Sorry about that.

819.2Give some time...learn a lot!RAGMOP::COMPTONThu Aug 12 1993 18:5936
Fellow Bird-Lovers,

One of the best ways to learn more about showing birds is to volunteer to
help out! Training/briefing sessions can be arranged on an individual
need basis. Experienced show volunteers are always there for you to
pinch-hit and answer your questions. We have had a lot of people come
back, year after year, sometimes doing the same job, sometimes offering
to do a new job, but always having a good time meeting other bird lovers,
bird show judges, and working with the general public so they enjoy the
show too.
.
If you can spare some time to help out at the bird show in Manchester, NH,
described in this basenote, pls. send mail to me or give me a call.
We need people who can help do any or all of these jobs ;')

o the night before for set-up
o the day of the show:
-for keeping records for each bird division
          -handling/moving show bird cages
	  -bird safety volunteers
o 'tear-down'--taking down the show benches and
straightening up the hall after the judging,
awarding of prizes, and raffle are done

There will be a pizza party at a local restaurant for all show
staff/volunteers following the tear-down. Contact me for more details.
I promise to return ALL calls! Even an hour of your time is a valuable
contribution!

Thanks,

Linda Compton

    Hi Denise,

Could you post directions here? I know I'm planning to attend and
I bet lots of other people would to if they knew how to find it.

    thanks!
