746.0. "Meal worms?" by GERBIL::MAGEE () Thu Nov 05 1992 02:26

    My finch book has said that live
    meal worms would be great for them.
    It sounds just gross enough that I
    would like to try ;-)

    Problem is I've tried two pet stores
    & they didn't stock them. Anyone know
    of where I can get them in the Merrimack
    area?

    Also would these be good for my other
    birds= tiels, canary, keet....

    thanks- chet

    Chet,

    Any pet store that carries reptiles should have them.

    When I was growing up, I remeber you could just leave a bin of Flour
    uncovered for a couple of months and meal worms would appear. I beleive
    they eventually develop into moths.

    I think Sea World in Salem would have them.

    If you get Bird Talk or Cage Bird, there are several ads for "live"
    stuff to order.
