I'll be visiting the West Palm Beach/ Ft. Lauderdale area this
weekend and am wondering if someone can recommend interesting
aviaries/pet shops/breeders to visit.
My primary goal is just having a good time watching the birdies,
but I'm also keeping my eye out for a bird to be pals with my red-lored
at home. We spend lots of time together in the evening, but she's
alone all day and I think she'd enjoy another bird around.
I'm especially interested in Senegals; I hear they make affectionate,
quiet pets. Any ideas?
Actually, while we're at it, anyone know of a Senegal breeder in New
England?

SeaWorld in Salem, NH has one wonderful little handfed Senegal baby
left. He has just been recently weened and is still fascinated by the
idea that he can *CHEW* so he's a bit nippy, but with some benevolent
discipline he'll get past "teething", I'm sure. I had him on his back
in the palm of my hand and was scratching his belly - what a cutie!
Price was $399. (If I had been carrying that much $$ when I saw him
last weekend, I don't know that I could have put him back :-)

To my knowlege, no one is breeding Senegals in this area. Give me a
couple of years ;-) I'm currently searching for a breeder pair. If
you see any likely candidates in your shopping trip to West Palm (ooo,
I'm envious!) please consider writing down the address and posting it
here - if they ship, I'm interested!
