266.0. "NHAS bird show 10/14" by GIAENG::PULSIFER () Thu Sep 28 1989 11:51

    The (NHAS) New HAmpshire Avicultural Society is sponsoring a their 15th
    anual .Bird show October 14, 1989. It is the Crystal Jublilee
    Avicultural Exposition. It is being help at the "GARDE ROCHAMBEAU
    (SHOW HALL)" 105 Lock Street in NAshua.

    I have a map I could send if anyone is interested.

    I looks like the best way to get there is to take the everett turnpike
    exit #7 (Rt 101a) East. From there it looks like you take your second
    left onto Lock St.

    If you are showing you should have your birds there before 9:45
    A.M.  Open to Public 12-4pm.

    The NHAS is selling 1990 calendars of Baby birds there for $7 each.
    If you are interested and can't make the show see me and I can get
    you one.

266.1I'm lost already!?!WILKIE::OLOUGHLINThu Sep 28 1989 17:479

      Just a nit, but isn't exit seven west? Towards Milford?
    Exit six would be east towards the center of Nashua? It is
    possible that I have lost my mind considering it's late afternoon
    on a crappy day.

      Rick.

266.2I should be shot!!!WILKIE::OLOUGHLINThu Sep 28 1989 18:0115

      After thinking about it.... it's clear that I'm dain bread.

      Exit six is the Nashua Mall. Exit seven east runs towards Nashua
    center. The second left would be either the road behind Hammer
    Hardware, actualy where Hammer Industrial is located. Or the next
    left.

      Sorry Doug. I wonder how I get home at night without getting
    lost.

      Rick.

266.3thanks for verificationGIAENG::PULSIFERFri Sep 29 1989 11:356
    Rick,

    No problem, I am glad someone verified my directions, Will I see
    you there ? I will be the steward for the parrot division.

    Doug
266.4 Sure will... MAMIE::OLOUGHLINFri Sep 29 1989 15:3821

      Certainly will be there. I live down the road abit. Really I
    live in Amherst, but I go by there all the time.

      I didn't *really* verify the directions. _IF_ it is the second
    left then I think it's at the back of Hammer. I am pretty sure
    there is a road there. (That's counting the first road as old route
    three which runs past the 99.) For some reason I think the road
    is *really* located at that little supermarket next to the Saab
    dealership. (Why o why is everything subjective.)

      I'll wear my DEC badge at the show. Makes for easy IDs. I'll
    also draw in a map on Monday with land marks and what not for everyone.

    [ Then I'll stop rambling on about nothing. Jus can't stop those
      fingers from typing away blah blah blah blah blah... ]

      Rick.

    Sounds good. I'll be there and will look for you and any other DEC
    person that I run into. I'll be wearing my badge too.

    I was wondering when the NHAS show was going to be. I'm glad that
    I didn't miss it.

    Thanks.

266.6IS DATE CORRECT??SPGBAS::BOURGAULTWed Oct 04 1989 17:155
    I received my BIRDTALK Magazine in the mail yesterday and the NHAS is
    listed on October 7th at the same address. Are you certain that
    Oct. 14th is the right date?

    Denise
266.7OCT 14 is it !!GIAENG::PULSIFERDoug Pulsifer 235-3332, BPO1Thu Oct 05 1989 12:399
    This is an Error in Birdtalk.

    In previous issues Birdtalk listed it for OCT 14.

    The NHAS club bulletin, The Show catalog, and The flyers that I have
    been posting in local pet shops all list it as OCT 14.

266.1016 annual showBPOV04::PULSIFERDoug Pulsifer DTN 296-3332, BP01Thu Sep 27 1990 14:5745
    It time again. This year the show is in a bigger facility, and
    easier to find. The place is real easy to find. If you are heading
    south on Rte 3 and take the RT 111 exit it is the church right at the
    end of the exit. Sometime called the Greek church. I can send anyone
    that needs it, a copy of a map showing how to get there.

    I will be hitting all the pet store in the
    Fitchburg/Leominster/Ayer/Westford area for donation for the Raffle
    table.

    Hope to see you there, I will be a steward in the parrot section again
    this year. I have a real short haircut and glasses so you can tell me
    from the other steward.

    Hi Dick,

    From Route 3 take Rte 111 west. It will be on your left. The exit 3 is
    5W. Route 3 is also called the Everett turnpike. From route 93 you
    would take Exit 3, west on Rte 111. Rte 111 is also called West Hollis
    ST.

    hope to see you there,
    Doug
266.13Old and New 3 the Same at 5W/5ECLOSET::COMPTONLinda DTN381-0687 ZKO1-2/C21Fri Sep 28 1990 14:4413
    Hi Dick and Doug,

    "Old Route 3" and new Route 3 are the same road for a space, including
    the section where exit 5W and 5E are...Dick, just take Route 3 north
    as though you were going to the Pheasant Lane Mall or the ZKO Digital
    facilities (last exit in Mass. is for PLM, Exit 1 in NH is for ZKO).
    Next exit is 4 (only Route 3 south at that point has an Exit 3; there
    is no Exit 2 either way). Then Exits 5W (the one you want) and 5E
    (the one you would take to attend an NHAS club meeting-there is a
    Howard Johnson's right at the exit so it is hard to miss...but for
    the SHOW--take 5 WEST).

    The NHAS 17TH ANNUAL BIRD SHOW was a big success. We had a major
    showing in the Cockatiel (60+), but less that 30 parrots.

    Sorry I didn't see more of you there.
