305.0. "Oct 92 events in NE" by OASS::BURDEN_D ('24 Stude - The only way to Tour) Thu Sep 03 1992 14:19

I will be back in NH for 6 weeks starting Sept 30 and have started
to compile a list of automotive events and related things to do
during that time.

So far I have these on my list:

10/17-18 MT Philo Hillclimb
10/17-18 COM Time Trials at NHIS (I will be attending the hillclimb instead)

10/23-25 NER SCCA at NHIS

I would also like to visit the Brookline Transportation Museum at some time.
Could someone list directions, when they're open and how much for admission?

Anyone have anything else to add to my list??

305.1What's Happening at Museum of TransportationJUPITR::JROGERSThu Sep 03 1992 16:3020
Here is the discription of what's going on at Transportation Museum, from today's
Boston Globe Calendar:

Museum of Transportation, Carriage House, Larz Anderson
Park, 15 Newton Street, Brookline. Telephone (617) 522-6140.
                 Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. $4, students, senior
citizens and children, $2; under 3 free. Through Dec 27,
"Different by Design," automotive designs by 10 stylists
from the United States and Europe, including 1927 Bugatti
Type 43 Grand Sport, 1936 Cord Model 810, 1941 Cadillac Sixty
Special, 1983 Lotus Turbo Esprit. Programs for children include
"Inventions Workshop," Activity Center, climb-on dune buggy,
                 trolley car front.

Hope this provides some clues. I haven't been there, does anyone know where Newton
Street is in Brookline? I will look on a map in a couple of days if there is no
reply.
