I suspect that this conference might lean more towards vehicles that won't
fall over if left un-attended. As one road racer (I raced AMA, WERA, and
AAMRR "production" classes in the '70's) to another; try the motorcycle
specific conferences:
Motorcycles CSC32::CYCLES
Motorcycles (Italy) ROM01::MOTOCICLISMO
Motorcycles (Non-Harley) GOOFOF::MOTORCYCLE
Three Wheeled Motorcycles HLDG00::SIDECARS
BTW, what is "pre 73" road racing? Is it what the name suggests; pre-1973
road racers, perhaps grouped by displacement? Do you separate 2-strokes from
4-strokes, and/or production machines from real race bikes?

| We race in 3 groups, group 1 is for pukka road race machines of the pre
73 period,ie Manx's,G50's etc,group2 is for specials such as my Weslake
(last season's machine was a 500 Tricati,also group 2) and group 3 is
production. In addition the usual capacity classes are observed.
Two strokes are pre 69 rather than 73,otherwisw we would be swamped
by Yamahas and lose all the 250 Ducati's,Aermachi's(sp) etc.
We are allowed to use new parts,they just have to have been available
in the period in question,foe instance my Weslake is a brand new
engine.
It's quite a popular form of racing over here,there is even a Clasic
Manx GP,I've been offered (half)offered a Manx Norton for that but so
far my wife has vetoed same :-(
