976.0. "spelling of Calle" by SMURF::POEGEL () Fri Dec 30 1994 14:10

	Hi

Has anyone heard of the name (pronounced) kay-lee?

How would you spell it? I am thinking of these possible
	ways:
			Calle
			Caleigh or Kaleigh

I also like Kari or Kori. ( I like the hard k sounds). Is
Kori a boys name too or would you spell a boys name Cori?

I am allset on a boys name (Matthew) so I'll probably have a girl.
Last time I was allset on a girls name and I had a boy! It figures.

I too only have 9 weeks left. Hurrah.

Lynne,

I have never heard of Calle (kay-lee), but have seen Caleigh or Kaylee and
also Callie, but that's a different pronounciation. I also like Kiley for
a girl - heard of it in Australia...

As for boys, I have come across many boy Corey's these days - that seems to
be the common spelling. I go by "Cori" (full name Corinne), and of course I
think of it as feminine, especially with the "i" ending (i.e. Patti, Lori, etc.)

Good luck in the search,
-Cori

Hi Cori

Thanks for responding. I was wondering if you were male or female. I
really like the name Cori.

I think I have decided on a name, Colleen. Cori and Kari sound too much
like my husband's name...Garry. Christina is still a possibility but
with a Christopher and a Kristen (krissy) in the family I am leading
against it.

I still like Calle, but it is too different and uncommon. Corey is
very popular these days for a boys name. All I need to find is some
middle names now.
