936.0. "FIRST NAME FOR CARDLE" by KIRKTN::RBLAIR (Rod Blair) Tue Mar 15 1994 09:22

    Hi All,
Can anyone think of a christian name for a boy or girl (don't know
what type yet !!!) with the surname CARDLE.
We want the kid to have an interesting, perhaps even unusual name
and something that they would like to have for the future.
We also want the name to have no religeous background because the
grandparents are a bit stuffy about these things.

    				thanks for all your replies

936.2Getting there!!!KIRKTN::RBLAIRRod BlairWed Mar 16 1994 08:3611
    Hi Cori,
Thanks a lot for your suggestions, we like quite a few of them.
We hadn't really thought about giving the child a middle name although
the ideas you gave have made the idea sound okay.
Do you or anyone else reading this note have any more names that
might sound good. We thought about maybe using some modern, new-age
names such as Sky, River etc.
Thanks again for all replies received.

    Hi Rod,

One of the most unusual names I have heard was "Nova". Given the
fact that the woman was in her late twenties, I had wondered if it
was a birth name or one she picked and legally had changed but was
never close enough to ask. I also have a friend who named his
daughter "Autumn". It was particularly unusual because the baby
was born in the winter! I think it was the season the parents met in.

New-age names... would you mean something like China, India, Asia,
Montana, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, Phoenix, Robin, Violet, Daisy?
I guess there are endless choices.

    Chris

    Hi Rod,

If you are looking for out-of-the-ordinary, I once met two sisters
named Dallas and Avis. You may alos consider Dakota for a boy.

Well, here's a bunch more of that type of name - that opens it up quite
a bit. I would think long and hard though before picking something "cute"
since you did say you want the child to like the name as s/he gets older.
I suppose these names do have a certain air of distinction to them...

McKinley	Brady Ruby Heather
Schuyler ("Skyler") Brooke Cassidy
Tahoe Axel Gazelle Darby
Laser Chase Cheyenne	Cherie
Bryce Harrison	Brandy Belle
Victor Landon Lark Dewy
Bradford	Ozark Sabrina Luna
Beau Chance Doe Bailey
Nolan Ray Ambrosia	Sidra
Victor Dawn Amity
Quentin Breeze Topaz
Bryce Rain Dena
Logan Diamond Amethyst
Cosmo Cheyenne	Marina

Best of luck,
-Cori
