813.0. "Woman's name to go with Lee" by KYOA::CHANG () Wed Jul 29 1992 12:59

    I have a niece who recently arrived in this country from China.
    Her name, as close as I can reproduce it is Etza (pronounced
    eat sa) Lee. Her husband, Jason, has asked me to pick a name
    for her - either sounding like her Chinese name or different.

    The only one I have been able to come up with sounding like
    her Chinese name is "Maritsa", but the "R" will be difficult
    to say and my husband thinks it is too complicated a name.

    Otherwise, I am interested in a name that will match with Lee.
    Any ideas?

    Well, the frist name that popped into my head when I said Etza was
    Betsy. Betsy Lee flows nicely, but of course, it is all a matter of
    taste.  %^}

    How about Elsa, Lisa or Alexa?

    Why doesn't she just keep Etza - I really like it.

How about:

Elise
Eliza
Eva
Isabel
Ivy
Etta
Alicia
Felicia
Emma
Galina
Janissa
Kitty
Keisha

Some sound better than others with Lee, but I think they're all okay.

Good luck,
-Cori
813.4I like Betsy for EtzaCNTROL::STOLICNYWed Jul 29 1992 17:386

    I like Betsy Lee as recommended in .1! Many of the other
    suggestions have too many l's when combined with Lee.

	Personally, I'd stick with Etza, but for something else, Eva was the
first name to pop into my head. Hope this helps...
