778.0. "Driving hubby crazy ;-)" by AKOCOA::BOLAND () Fri Apr 03 1992 13:19

    Hi,

I'm in the process of driving my husband crazy (it's what I do best).
I'm not pregnant, but one of my quirks it that I want to pick out names
for the next in line. I had my daughter's name picked out before I
conceived and 'she wears it well'. Her name is Courtenay Elisabeth.

I like Craig Matthew for a boy (had that one for years), but I'm
struggling with a girls name (don't find anything I like as much as
Courtenay's). We also don't like nick names and are trying to keep
away from family names (we have 5 Micheal's 2 Phyllis' etc everyone is
    named for someone).

    Any how; I like

    	Whitney ? (hubby hates it)
Michelle ? (we both like this but can't find a middle name)
Stephanie Lynne (nick names are too easy with this one though)

    	I also like
    		Audrey
Amanda Paige (does this sound to uppity?)
    		Charlene
    		Cassidy
    		Chelsea

Any help in driving hubby mad would be greatly appreciated (also great
    fun! ;-) )

    Rose Marie (first name)

    Hi,
I like Amanda Paige, but it will probably be changed to a nickname.
When I was pregnant, I had considered it - ended up using it as a
    middle name - Emily Amanda.

    For other names:
    Michelle Suzanne
    Michelle Audrey
    Audrey Catherine
    Lindsey Rebecca
    Rebecca Michelle
    Marielle Paige
    Lindsey Christine
    Lindsey Anne

    Chris

I love the name Stephanie Lynne - but you're right...it would be too
easy to go to a Steffie or a Stevie (I, personally, love nicknames and
collect them like some people collect stamps, but that's not the
    point).

Amanda Paige isn't TOO uppity - it is rather elegant. And Amanda
really doesn't go to well to nicknames...I know a few Amanda's and none
    of them are Mandy's.

I just plain don't care for the names Cassidy or Chelsea - I consider
them "trendy" names. But, that is IMO, of course.

Charlene would go well with Courtenay...how about Charlene Paige?

    A few more:

    Whitney Michelle
    Whitney Amanda
    Michelle Paige
    Audrey Lynne
    Charlene Paige
    Charlene Michelle

I have a niece named Monica Danielle - VERY regal sounding, NO
nicknames (goodness knows I've tried), good "ring" to it.

Thanks for the suggestions. We both like Charlene. We may have something
here! Charlene Paige sounds nice. What other middle names can you
think of to go with Charlene. I think Charlene Michelle Boland is to 'lll'
if you know what I mean. Charlene ? Boland. (It does sound nice with
Courtenay too!) I thank you and hubby does too! ;-)

I like Marielle Paige but it will take some work getting hubby
to agree. I think it reminds him of Marielle Hemmingway.

    Thanks!

How about Charlene Marie? It still has the M sound without all of the
    'llll's !!!
