777.0. "name for GWYNNE jun." by BIS1::GWYNNE () Mon Mar 30 1992 13:49

We need a boy's name please.

The surname is Gwynne (it's Welsh).

I'd like a Brazilian name (because my wife is Brazilian) that sounds OK
in English, but my wife would like a Celtic type name.

Either way any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Phillip,

Gwynne sounds like an easy last name to match up with a multisyllable
first name. But I can't think of Brazilian/Celtic names to offer.
Can you offer any names you and your wife are currently considering
to give us more help with a direction?

    Chris

How about Marco? I don't know if it's Brazilian but I do know someone
from S America with the name.

I think that you need a two or three syllable name to go with Gwynne.
    Here's some ideas:

    Marco Phillip Gwynne
    Alex(ander) David Gwynne
    Stefan Thomas Gwynne
    Victor Thomas Gwynne
    Anthony Joseph Gwynne

What's your girl's name selection or is it a boy for sure?

I'm not very familiar with Portugese (Brazilian) names, but Paolo come to mind.

For Welsh names, how about one of these:

Sion	(Shawn)
Rhys	(Reese)
Morgan
Taran
Aidan
