Can someone help with girls names with L? I've already thought of

    Lisa
    Lori/Laurie/Lauren
    Louise
    Lila

    Others?

I've come up with a few addtional girls' "L" names:

Lacey, Lana, Lane, Larissa, Leandra, Leigh, Linda, Liza, Lorna,
    Louise, Lucille/Lucy, Lydia

My personal favorites for "L" names are:

Lee/Leigh, Liza, Lydia, Laura, Leslie, Lindsay

Is this for a baby Wasserman? The last name probably limits your
choices to some extent (i.e. Larissa Wasserman is a bit too much!,
but Leigh Wasserman is quite nice!)

Here are a few Hawaiin "L" names used for girls.

    Lehua
    Leilani (Lei)

for Lehua it is pronounced Le (lay) hua (the u is the vowel u sound,
the a is pronounced like ah)

for Leilani or Lei it is pronounced Lei (lay) lani (the i is pronounced
                                                        like e)or lanie)

Lehua is a flower in Hawaii.
Leilani has to do with flowers but I can't remember exactly what.
ofcourse a Lei is what you get when you go to Hawaii (flower lei!!)

If I think of any more I will enter them. && (ohwell you get the
                                               & & picture,

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! At some point, this might be for
a "baby Wasserman", but not right now (just planning ahead!).
748.10LiciaAKOCOA::BOLANDThu Jan 30 1992 16:169

Licia is another "L" name. It's my mother's. Pronounced Lee-chaah
At least that is how my family pronounces it. I think the
grammatically correct Italian pronounceation would be Lee-cee-ah.

She hates it. I would have loved to use it for my daughter but we
didn't think it went well with my last name.

    Rose Marie
748.11Does it?CIVIC::FAHELAmalthea Celebras/Silver UnicornThu Jan 30 1992 17:393
Looks like it comes from the name Alicia.

I went to high school with a girl named Licia. She always said her
parents couldn't agree on a name, so they comprimised Alisha and Lisa.
It's a pretty name for an independant person.

Lawson

I really like the sound of Logan, but some may associate it too closely
with Logan International Airport in Boston...

I recently met a woman named Lorrine, which I also think is really pretty...

Good luck,
