Okay, I'll bite. I'd say that your "tradition" is not really that
recognizable nor deliberate as you point out, so I'd certainly go
with names that you *like* as opposed to something you're not too
keen on just because it follows the pattern.
That said, I do admit that I like the names you've selected so far
for a boy (I do prefer the traditional spelling for Brian). I don't
particularly care for Melanie and Marie together - too similar, too
sing-song.
I think two or three syllable names (like you've picked) sound best
with a single-syllable surname - Plant. Here's a couple of ideas
for you:
Nathan Michael (fits your tradition!)
Taylor Micheal (ditto)
Justin Michael
Zachary Marc or Zachary John
Rachel Marie
Alicia Michelle
Nicole Marie
I'd stay away from Robert if I were you...course, by the time this
kid grows up, nobody will remember Led Zeppelin, right?
