379.0. "Latin languages names" by CECV05::GAMA (Contracting is my life) Mon May 01 1989 17:41

I want Latin languages names (Italian/Spanish/Portuguese) that
would not be hard to say by an English speaken native. Because
I don't know what sex the baby is, I would like to both boys
    and girls.

    Thanks

If you're looking for names from a certain country, there's
a name book that I can recommend very highly. It's by
Charlotte Yonge and can be found in most libraries (forget
the title, sorry). What this book does is list the foreign
equivalents of hundreds of common names. For George, for
example, it will have something like the following:

		German: Georg
		French: Georges
		Italian: Giorgio
		Spanish:	Jorge
		Russian:	Georgi

and so on -- really helpful!

    Hi,
I suggest you to read the note 360 and its replies. In particular
my reply 360.6. In reply 379.2 I still don't agree with the Italian
name list which is not correct.

    						ciao !!
