275.0. "New Arrival, Some Advice" by USFSHQ::LDIPROFIO () Thu Jul 28 1988 12:47

Well, I can't find my previous note for a name to go with Sweeney,
but I just wanted to let every one know that Ryan Patrick Sweeney,
was born Monday, July 25th, 9 lbs. 13 oz. My husband, being Italian
that our daughter could have put in Guido or something like that just
to remind people that he is half Italian (only kidding!)

Lori had chosen Shauna Lee for a girl's name.
Unfortunately, the baby was born with some problems and now is in
at Children's in Boston. He's going to be o.k. They are operating
on an embilical (?) hernia this a.m. He also has had breathing
problems. They discovered that he has a heart murmer. However,
they (at Children's) feel that this will clear up on it's own.

The point to this is that, of course, nobody expects problems with
their baby especially when there's been no problem during the pregnancy
at all, but please see what your insurance covers before that little
one arrives. We are just praying for this baby to be all right,
but the hospital bills for constant monitoring at Framingham Union
and Children's are going to be really large and so far we don't
think that Lori and Scott's insurance will cover most of the baby's
bills. I hope this helps someone out there. All we want is a healthy
happy baby, but it would be nice not to have to worry about large
    hospital and doctors bills.

Thanks for everyone's prayers. Little Ryan is doing much better and
Lori may even be able to nurse him today. He's still jaundiced, but came
through his operation Friday very well. He's made such progress
and done so well. I really believe in the power of prayer and enough
can't be said for Children's Hospital in Boston. Will keep you
up-dated but things look pretty good for Ryan Patrick Sweeney today.
