I'm going to assume you're asking because that's a possible
    	babyname for a girl??

Asia is a pretty name if it also wasn't a continent.
    	Anastasia is pretty....

Perhaps if you changed the spelling to Azia or Asya...

    	Just my $.02.

I like it the way it is. Better than naming your child North America.

I think its a lovely name, a friend of mine
called her daughter India. So why not Asia.

I like it alot. It really grows on you. I named my cat Asia and
at first I wasn't to sure about it but now I love it. When I have
a daughter I will consider it seriously.

Thanks for the replies, I just wanted to know what everyone else
    thought!

I have seen the name Aisha before. It was pronounced Eyesha.
I thought it was pretty but very formal.

    I think it's a good name for a Siamese cat. I once named a 1/2
    Siamese kitten Asia.

I love "Asia" -- mostly for the sound (kind of like the
Steely Dan album Aja). Are there any associations with
the continent, though? Reminded me of India Wilkes (in
Gone with the Wind) and China ?, Grace Slick's daughter.
BTW, taking girl's names from geography is not that
uncommon -- Florence and Sharon come immediately to mind.

    Hi Linda,

Yes, I think it's a lovely name and very unusual. I also like the
name India for a girl. This reply is a little late, I think. I've
only just started using notes, so please excuse me!!

    Best wishes.
