166.0. "Aisha Ruth" by CRETE::MARINO () Tue Dec 29 1987 17:38

    I have a friend who recently had a girl. Her husband had told my
    husband that they had decided to name the baby Aisha Ruth Kahn.
    At first I had to think about it and decide if I liked it or not,
    but when I saw her, she was beautiful and that little name tag
    above her read "Aisha", it just fit. It sounded like a cool
    blue sky. Her Father is Pakistani and she has dark skin and
    dark hair, she is just gorgeous. I think it's a beautiful
    name now, it does her justice.

    They told me, but at this moment I can't recall. I don't
    think it was anything close to what I picture it meaning.

    When I talk to them I will ask, unless anyone else knows??

    I found Aisha in my babyname book and it says it is African and
    means "life". It is pretty, how do they pronounce it?
