158.0. "Craig Thomas" by EDUHCI::WARREN () Mon Nov 30 1987 10:41

    My brother and his wife had #4 yesterday--Craig Thomas Bryant.
    I know that Thomas means twin (Irish twins--they're all under
    5 1/2); does anyone know what Craig means?

    My book says it's Irish Gaelic meaning "from near the crag". I
    like their choice - has a real nice sound to it.

    Craig is a name of Scottish descent. It translates to "crag" which
    is rock.

    Ailsa Craig on the West coast of Scotland is mentioned in Yachting
    - Monthly Jan 90. "the unmistakable bulk of Ailsa Craig is an
    excellent landmark for the Clyde"

    Happy sailing between Ireland and Scotland.

    Tim.
