155.0. "D Names" by DELNI::MICOZZI () Tue Nov 24 1987 14:05

I just had to add my two cents about names. I come from a family
of four girls and my father gave us the following names:

    Donna Lea (Lea = Lee)
    Denise Anne
    Dawn Marie
    Darlene Agnes ("Darby")

Through the years the Klock (yes like on the wall) sisters became
famous in school. Just when you thought you were through with one
    D another
one walked into your class. My baby sister, Darby started high
school this year and she is constantly called Donna. In the end,
my father who is a farmer
in NY named our farm "4-D Acres".

By the by, the three older sisters wanted to name Darlene Jennifer
which was a very popular name in 1973. My Dad won out on the condition
that we called her Darby. Darby has stuck at home but her schoolmates
and teachers think Darlene is much appropriate. This poor child
was also stuck with a family middle name "Agnes" which she detests.
    I will never do that.

Just though you would enjoy reading about the Klock sisters.

    Donna Lea

I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT FIND THIS FUNNY. A FRIEND OF MINES BROTHER NAMED
HIS CHILDREN AFTER BOOKS HE READ. AFTER NAMEING HIS LAST CHILD WAYLON,
HIS FATHER IN LAW HID THE BOOK "MOBY DICK".

I went to high school with the Dorgan family--12 kids all with names
that started with D. I knew Denis, Denise, Diane and Darlene...I
always wondered if they had the same middle initial too.
