My wife will be delivering in November. We don't know if it will be a boy
or a girl. If it is a girl, we have decided upon Darcie because we thought
it sounded nice. I am curious where the name comes from and what it means.
If anyone knows, please reply with the answers.

	My book says it's Irish Gaelic for "dark". I remember my sister had a friend by that name in high school. Have not heard of it again since. It is nice. Robin

	I found another meaning for it as well as what .2 stated and that is "dweller in the stronghold" - French. But the spelling is also Darcy.

	Funny how we associate names with people. I liked the name Darcie, until I met someone with that name who was a real B****! (With a capital B!) Now, I think it sounds catty. Just my thoughts......
