93.0. "our first baby" by 7300::OSTIGUY () Fri Apr 17 1987 11:45

    Hi everyone!

I am now expecting my first baby. The due date is a bit in the
air at the moment, but it should be around November of this year.
I'm already showing though. People are teasing me already about
having twins since I'm a twin, but I always thought that twins skipped
a generation. Has anyone else ever heard this? or is it just a
fairy tale I've always believed? Either way, I'll be asking the
    doctor on my next visit.

My husband and I have been throwing out names testing them out on
each other. My husband hasn't liked many. To start us off, we've
set a few quide lines (but we're not going to treat them as law).
My husband's initals are D M and mine are A O. Our last name is
Bogart. We thought if it was a boy, we'd think about a D M name,
and if it was a girl, A O name. Anyboby care to give me some ideas
    to show my husband? Thanks......

    Anna

    Congratulations and good luck!

    Some ideas...

D: David, Dylan, Daly, Daniel, Davin, Dean, Devlin, Derek, Dolan,
    Drew.

M: MacAdam, McKenna, Mark, Michael, Matthew, Manning, Martin, Morgan

A: (the everpresent) Ashley, Ashlin, Adrienne, Allyson, Andrea,
    Angela, Alexis, Amanda, Audrey, Audra.

O: (This is a tough one) Olga, Odette, Olive, Oprah, Opal, Orea.

Why not consider making the middle name a family name? For example,
is your "O" for Ostiguy? Why not pass it on to a daughter? My
daughter's middle name is my mother's maiden name (wrong letter
for you, though). Just some ideas.

    HI,

My husband and I seem to change out minds each week as to what name
to use. The past few weeks, we've been pretty set on what we've
picked, and it has nothing to do with initials. We've been thinking
about Amanda Paige and Andrew Marc.

We can of course change our minds again,,,,,,,, who knows?

Hi. Have you updated us about your status recently? Is it twins?
Have you decided on the name(s)?

Another November baby, huh? Or has that changed (to October
or December)? I and two friends of ours are all due in November.

    Good Luck,
    Liz

    Hi,

.3 No, no twins. There's only been one seen during the ultrasounds.
(I had two ultrasounds). Yes, we've changed our minds on the names
again. We've now picked Rachel Paige, and Chad Joseph. We could
change our minds again though. Picking lifetime names isn't as
easy as I always thought. Joseph is my grandfather's name and out
of his 7 children, 29 grandchildren and at least 6-8
great-grandchildren there aren't any Josephs at all. So I believe
    Joseph will keep.

.4 Yes, I am due in November, 15th to be exact. I've noticed alot
of expectant mothers around work. And you know, this is the first
time I've haven't thought about early christmas shopping! Too busy
with other things. (I'm sure you know what I mean).....
93.6November baby too!!ARCANA::APTESTFri Sep 25 1987 18:587
Gee, my due date is November 17 and I am thinking about early Christmas
shopping. In fact I have most of it done already. I can't see
myself lugging a newborn and hauling a 2 year old through the malls
in late November/early December. GOOD LUCK with your baby.

93.7Another November baby!RICKS::STLAURENTWed Oct 14 1987 11:1222
Hmmm. Must be something catchy. We're also expecting our first
child on November 3rd. Less than 3 weeks away, give or take
    2 weeks, of course. :-)

We've also done a lot of Christmas shopping, because the thought
of carrying a newborn around the malls doesn't sound like fun.
Of course, there's always more Christmas shopping to be done.

We've decided on Patrick Joseph if it's a boy, but we're still
trying to decide on girl's names. (My French grandmother's reaction
was amusing - "An Irish name?". Attempts at trying to explain that
Patrick is of Latin origin were futile.)

Possible girls names are Cassandra, Melissa, or Kimberly. The
problem is finding a short middle name (for obvious reasons) that
    sounds pleasing.

Good luck to all with their babies.

         John

Kimberly Ann was born on November 12, 1987 at 8:05 am. Her and
Mom are both doing well, Dad is already a little ragged. Hopefully
they both will be coming home later this morning (and then the real
    fun begins 8-).

This note is for anyone expecting a baby (preferably a girl) soon.

I had my first (and only) child on April 24th 1986, and I am new
to the NOTES file. I named my girl STEPHANIE MAIE, and unfortunately
its seems to be getting more popular everyday.

As most of you expected parents have found out, you have or will
be going through a million names until your baby is born. I too
went through the BABYNAME SYNDROME. I finally decided on April
20th, 1986 that I wanted to name my girl Stephanie. I was watching
the "NEWHART" show, and saw the character Stephanie, and I said
to myself: Its a pretty name, not too common - why not !!

Her middle name was suppose to be Mary, but I did not think it sounded
good. She was born in April, so I thought about April for a middle
name, but that too did not sound right. Well, then I thought of
May, changed the spelling a bit to make it prettier, and out came
    STEPHANIE MAIE.

I like it, my daughter likes it --- so we're both happy and that
    is what counts !!!

Good luck to all you fellow Syndromers !!

    Debby

Hi, I started this note and I just came back to work. Yesterday
    was my first day.

My son, Jonathan Lloyd was born Nov. 28th at 5:59 am. We hadn't
picked the name Jonathan Lloyd until 6 days before his birth.
We are all doing fine. Life is so full of joy these days! I love
    it!

    Hi Eveyone!!!

I am not expecting yet, but my husband are trying. This is our
second month "at it", last month we thought for sure "it worked"
but we were saddened to find we would have to try again. I think
this "club" is great! We have already started to argue over names.
I have chosen either Amanda or Daniel for a girl and either Jeffrey
or Daniel for a boy. I am so excited.

Oh I almost forgot, my name is Ellen Maron. I am a secretary for
the Volume Sales District in NY.

    Hi,

I should start a new note because now I'm expecting my second baby!
(I was the orginator of this note). Now what's really funny is that
although I don't know the due date as of yet, I expect it to be in
November, same as with our first baby. Feburary must mean fertile to
me! I'll be another hectic holiday season, but I can't wait! I love
tiny babies! And I'm very proud of my son (16 months yesterday) and
now he gets to to a big brother.....

I haven't the slightest idea about names. We didn't pick my son's name
until a week after his due date! Second babies being a bit more on
time, (so they say) we better have decided by then......

    Anna

93.19You're right about that!AKAMAI::KONONative New YorkerTue Apr 18 1989 01:406
You're right about second babies... our first was 2 weeks late,
our second was 2 weeks early. They are 13.5 months apart ;-).

Parenthood is a constant challenge, and we LOVE it.
