83.0. "These are real names" by 7300::OSTIGUY () Wed Feb 18 1987 18:18

    I love hearing "criminal names" although I wouldn't want to stick
    it on a kid of mine. I do have a couple I can contribute and believe
    me they are TRUE names. They belong to my aunts. They both married
    their last names so it wasn't something they had to live with as
    children.

    	Olive Pitz  (sounds like pits)
    	Ada Fish (Im not kidding, she's my great aunt so she's Aunt
    Olive's first aunt).....

    BTW, My name is Anna. I haven't a middle name although I always
    wanted one. I how use my maiden name as my middle name....

    This is not my comment...I read it somewhere else in the file, but felt
    it had to go here.

    The woman's name is OPHELIA RASS.

    		.....say that 10 times fast....
83.2Yup...good ol' Mrs. RassSELL1::FAHELAmalthea Celebras/Silver UnicornWed Sep 18 1991 14:0111
    Re: .1

    That was mine.  My mother worked with a woman whose name was Mrs. Rass;
    first name Ophelia.

    Not only is it a criminal name, but she MARRIED into it! ;^)

    The worst thing was, my mother had to say the full name over an
    intercom!

    These names are not exactly "criminal", but I wouldn't want to deal
    with them myself...

    I worked with a woman whose name (married) was Carol Carroll.
    I delt with a manager whose name (married) was Kathy McKatherine.
    My friend has a little boy named Curtis Michael. She just got married
        and her hubby plans to adopt Curtis. Her hubby's name? Jamie
        Curtis...

	My first note in here...quite an interesting file which I'm sure I'll
be visiting in search of a name quite soon. Reading this, I had to include a
note about another name which is ALMOST criminal. A woman from a very weathy
family in the Houston Texas area whose given name was Ima Hogg.

	I promise not to do that to my children....

    There is some speculation that the Hogg sisters (Ima and Ura) are what
    is known as a Suburban Myth. I, myself, don't know.

	No Myth...I've been to Ima's mansion, now a museum filled with antiques
in suburban Houston, TX.
