31.0. "Lyrl (rhymes with squirrel)" by 24595::RPGDOC () Thu Jul 31 1986 16:33

    My wife's name is Lyrl. It was her mother's middle name, and her
    grandmother's first name. The family does not know where the name
    came from except that the great-grandparents found it in a book
    (fiction or whatever?).

    Because of her unusal name Lyrl has made a hobby of collecting unusual
    names and has a rather extensive collection.

    If we had a girl it would probably have it as a middle name, but
    our one child is named Andrew.

    Andrew was just sort of picked out of thin air as sort of a Scottish
    sounding name, although I don't know why as I am mostly Irish and
    Lyrl is mostly Swedish. As it turns out he is the 5th generation
    on his mother's side to have that name but we didn't realize it
    because his uncle goes by Andy, his grandfather by A. Delbert Peterson,
    and before that it was spelt Anders, though someone told me Anders
    is actually a different name altogether.

    If anyone wants to use this name, feel free, as I don't expect we'll
    be having any further claims to it or need of another babyname.

    If anyone out there has ever heard of the name Lyrl before, I would
    be most interested to hear about it.
