943.0. "Hyped up *** INTERNET stocks ***" by CSCMA::BALICH () Fri Nov 17 1995 16:34

    Whats with INTERNET stocks, they have been surging for sometime ...
    Look at what NSCP has done so far today ?

    Would you purchase when it splits ? Is this just hype or is there
    alot of future value in these stocks ???

	Seeing Nov. 17th was a double expiration day for options,
	it could of been alot of short sellers convering their
	position on these stocks?

	Please see topic 879 for any specific discussion about Netscape:

	Internet stocks getting hit today, see UUNET (Symbol: UUNT).
	CNN has been reporting recently that the reason Internet
	stocks are so hot, is due to the short supply of them (only
	like 1/2 a dozen?). Remember REIT's were also hot due to
	them being in short supply, until a bunch of new REIT's the
	last couple of years produced an oversupply .....

    Net stocks off to the races again today ... We'd all be able to retire
    if we got the IPO price.

    Does anybody own this stock ? Would one get in now ?

943.10America On-line going off-line2155::michaudJeff Michaud - ObjectBrokerThu May 09 1996 15:2418
	Some movement in America On-Line yesterday and today. The company
	announced earnings that beat analyst expectations by only a penny
	a share. They also however announced new programs such as flat
	rate subscription. Also CNN HN speculates that with Summer
	approaching, people will be working on their tan-lines, vs. being
	on-line (there pun, not mine).

	Down 7 pts yesterday, and right now another 3 today. Look
	at that PE ratio!!! Only 90 min. of trading and 3M shares
	traded already....

plan you mentioned?

	Sorry, I'm only repeating what I heard on CNN HN. Accuracy
	is also not a given (plus keep in mind I'm doing other things
	while watching the TV in the background :-)

	I suggest calling AOL themselves (I don't think Compuserve
	is going to give you the info :-)
