900.0. "List of upcoming IPO's!" by HDLITE::PASHAPOUR (Disk space, the final frontier) Wed Aug 09 1995 17:40

    SEC APL has a new page about IPO's. Here is what it is showing today.
    Hope you find it interesting. If I find the time, I'll post more of
    these as they become available!

    Does anybody know anything about Desktop Data of Waltham?

    "IPOs: The Place to Be"

    OVERVIEW: New Issues continue to be a consistent bright spot in this
    market. Demand continues to far outstrip overall supply, and the
    general quality of deals remain high. IPOs are definitely the place to
    be heading into the Fall. Third and fourth calendar quarters could
    prove to be barn-burners when everyone gets back to their desks.

    Our selections last week came through well enough. On Technology was
    priced at $15 and closed the day at 20. Jayhawk traded up 4 1/2 to 14
    1/2 from an offering price of $10. Pure Software traded as high as 34
    3/4 after being priced at $17 per share. Smartflex was priced at $12,
    closing at 15 3/4. Thermospectra was priced at $14 and closed at 18.
    Pet Practice closed at 14 1/2 after being priced at $15. Victormaxx and
    Kushi were again pushed off another week. We've dropped Kushi from our
    list.

    	This is great. Thanks Amin for posting it. Let's keep this
    	note as a way to communicate new IPO's being offer.

900.2Midwest ExpressTOPCHZ::HILDEBRANDJohn Hildebrand @MWOMon Aug 14 1995 01:589
    Midwest Express airline is being spun off from Kimberly Clark as part
    of their purchase of Scott Paper. Midwest Express is the top rated
    airline in a recent Consumer Reports article. Midwest Express is based
    out of Milwaukee, so much of the nation has not enjoyed their spacious
    leather seats, delicious food, and excellent service at reasonable
    prices. But after this fall's IPO, I suspect the airline will branch
    out to other cities.

    Prospectus announcement in yesterday's WSJ:
    AccelGraphics to go public, 3m shares at $9.
    I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole.

900.5BEA Systems also Completed Their IPO Recently16632::GEORGESThu May 01 1997 17:214
    I think AccelGraphics (ACCL) came out almost two weeks ago, the 18th,
    on the same day as BEA Systems (BEAS). Neither stock has moved much
    from their initial offering price. Might be a good time to pick up BEAS
    before Wall Street discovers what middleware is... Comments?
