SAP reported yesterday it had another bumper qtr with
explosive growth esp. in the USA. It also said
business growth is also coming at the expense of ORCL &
Lotus....
SAP will also be issuing a new class of common stock
priced in the 5 DM category... German stock exchanges
have some rules regarding equity pricing, apparently!!

Why ORCL?
1. Because SAP will be able to use more than just Oracle in the future
2. Oracle is agressivly trying to grow its business through
applications. This area will be hurt by the growth of SAP and
Peoplesoft. Applications mean revenue for consulting as well. A very
high margin area.
Just my 2cents worth. I would consider Informix as a stronger RDBMS
horse to ride.

Both good points. How much consulting is SAP providing in comparison to
3rd party consulting firms (SAP specific)?
