207.0. "Mutual Fund Daily Standings" by MRED::CURELOP () Thu May 21 1992 17:24

    This is elementry question and maybe it it explained somewhere in these
    files. If so, please direct me to them.

    	My question is:

    		How do you interrupt the Mutual Fund standings that appear
    	in the newspapers?

    	Pretty simple stuff, but what does all those letters mean?

    There should be a "key" in the newspaper which describes the basics.
    But, for example (with made-up numbers)

    Fidelity Investments
    	AMgr  	10.54 NL     +.10
    	Mgln	36.23 37.34  +.45

        "AMgr" is the abbreviation for the fund name (Asset Manager)
    	The two columns list the buy/sell price of one share of the fund.
        "NL" means the fund has no sales load, so the buy and sell prices
        are the same. The "+.10" is the change in NAV for the day.
