Does anyone have any information on the Gardner tenpin house in terms
    of summer leagues/programs?

I'm interested in finding out about summer leagues for my husband and
myself as well as an adult/child league.

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'd be interested in hearing about the house itself. What is
people's experience in bowling there (i.e. lane conditions, equipment
    upkeep, etc....).

    Thanks!

    /Karen

Karen,

They do indeed have summer leagues there. In fact, if you bowl in one
of the summer leagues, you can practice all summer long for free.

They have some sort of league running most every week night, I'll see
if I can find a list tonight (I bowl there on Mondays...)

As to the house itself, it's okay. Mondays are tough because they muck
with the lanes on Mondays, but the rest of the week seems to be okay.
The equipments old, but works decently.

111.2electronic scoring?DAGWUD::UMBRELLOMon Apr 14 1997 09:2012
    Dana,

If you could get a list, that would be great. If it's too much to put
in here, I can give you a fax number to send it to me.

Also, I'm just curious.....do they have electronic scoring?? I've been
bowling in a house with electronc scoring and I get "nervous" when I
bowl somewhere where I have to keep score - especially if I'm
keeping score at a NEBA tournament for my husband! Yikes! Good
    workout for the brain though.

111.3A big no to that. They do in Shrewsbury though...SUBSYS::adapt1.shr.dec.com::lanedahttp://adapt1.shr.dec.com:80/index.htmMon Apr 14 1997 13:354
Umm, no electronic scoring up there. In fact, we're lucky the
overheads work most of the time. 8-)

    Thanks for the info. Dana!

Just one other question......do you happen to know the age groups for
the juniors?? Our son just turned 3 (although he's about the same size
and weight as my 5-yr old nephew). My husband bought him a 6 lb. ball.

Sorry, I don't know what qualifies as a junior...

Good luck and have fun!
