1260.0. "Superman" by ARRODS::WHITAKER (The man from Hull) Mon Jan 16 1995 10:53

    	Hi,
I wonder if anyone out there can answer a question: Did they
produce a second series of "Superman", which I think was originaly
called "Lois and Clark" in the US ?

    Thanks,

Andy, you may have to wait for a reply on this. According to my Far Side
calendar, today is Martin Luther King's birthday in the US (what you would
call a bank holiday).

I recall seeing Lois and Clark listed when I was in the States last fall,
so quite possible there will be a 2nd season. However, I left before the
start of the new season, so it might just have been advertisements for the
last summer rerun.

Never have seen the show. Is it any good?

i didn't bother to watch this whenit first came out but caught a bit of
it one idle Saturday and got to like it. it's really quite good, and
Lois is fairly easy on the eye !

1260.3For the wife...ARRODS::WHITAKERThe man from HullTue Jan 17 1995 08:4811
The wife is a fan of this program - although I think she just likes
the guy who plays Clark Kent !

To be honest it is very watchable and quite close to the comics I
remember from my dim and distant youth.

The first series is being repeated on BBC1 in the UK early (8am?)
Saturday mornings. Its amazing what you get to watch while feeding
    a new baby.

Lois and Clark is in its second season now, if that was the question.
And not everyone had Martin Luther King day off. It's not an official
DEC holiday, at least not in Mass and New Hampshire. Lois and Clark
is a fairly decent show, though I understand they've changed some of
the cast (NOT Lois and Clark though) and somewhat of the focus. Haven't
seen it yet this year as it's on when I'm trying to put the
kids to bed and it's not enough of a draw for me to tape at the moment.

Last night's episode was a time-travel one. Without giving too much
away, they involved H.G. Wells, a nod to Back to the Future (Flux
facilitator instead of Flux capacitor), and a schtick from the original
Star Trek (put 'em back before they left and they won't remember a
    thing?)

1260.12is it finnished ????SNOFS1::NANCARROWTue Jul 30 1996 09:125
Is the series still alive. We just had an end of series finale where
Clark (aka superman) disappears in a spaceship to go off somewhere.
It looked pretty final to me ???

1260.13not that I really watch this one anyway...QUARRY::petertrigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertaintyTue Jul 30 1996 16:128
I haven't heard anything about this being the end of the series.
Sure, Supe's off to destination unknown with his Kryptonian
child bride, but from the looks of things, she's going to be
in a new series, "Men Behaving Badly" so that complication
has to be untwisted somehow. Typical cliffhanger season finale.
Not series finale.

You might want to wander over to LJSRV1::TV_CHATTER, note 352, for a very
thorough discussion of L&C. Start around .55 for a discussion of the
season-ending cliff-hanger.
