  HARRY-STINE via harry-stine-request@ilc.com

The HARRY-STINE list is for conversations with G. Harry Stine, the
noted author of may of our favorite titles. Mr. Stine is respected
not only for his great work with technical subjects such as model
rocketry and space, but also for imaginative fiction that are also
   well done stories.

We expect this to be a rather high traffic list, so please - if there
is a particular conversation thread you don't enjoy, just delete the
messages pertaining to that conversation and enjoy the other
conversations sure to be in progress.

This is a MAILING List - you will received posts made to this list as
a regular mail message in your electronic mailbox. If this results
in overcrowed mailboxes, please set your subscription to the "digest"
option. This will cut down on the number of messages you receive.

Note: When you subscribe to this list you will get a "rules of road"
   document in the automatic reply.  The rules are pretty simple;
basically no name calling or other activities. You are certainly
welcome to disagree with Mr. Stine; he hold some unique and thought
provoking opinions! Flaming however, may result in posting
   priveledges being revoked.

The list is provided as a free service by Infinity Link Corporation.

I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Harry (and spending a great deal
of time with him) back in my high school days. Harry was President
of the National Association of Rocketry at the time, and when I learned
that he lived in the next town over, I wrote to him and described some
work I'd done on model rocket altitude prediction. Harry invited me
to meet him and some of his friends. I flew a lot of model rockets
with Harry, and was part of an NAR demonstration team that he formed.
Harry also wrote a letter of recommendation for me when I applied to
MIT. We lost track of one another after I stayed in the Cambridge
area and he moved to Phoenix (?). Every now and again I think I ought
to try to reconnect with him through one of his publishers, but I never
    get around to it.

Thanks for posting this, this is probably the best/easiest way for me
to hook up with an old friend.
