This is the fourth book in Gerrold's series "The War Against the
Chtorr." I stumbled over ot several weeks ago -- the last copy the
store had of the initial shipment.
**SPOILERS**
This book is, in my opinion, a big improvement over the last one. It
moves briskly, loses most of the boring crap about "Mode Training," and
has a number of twists and turns. It is also darker in tone. I highly
recommend it.
At the end, Gerrold reprints an interview he gave at a SF con about the
series.

There will be at least seven books in this "trilogy."
He already knows precisely how the story will end.
It takes several years to write one of these books, the latest being
about 222,000 words long (about 550 pages).

it takes HIM several years to write one :'). (because he always gets
distracted by other projects :')). anyway, ive been waiting for this
book for AGES, i knew it was out but have yet to find it (even at the
big barnes and noble in nashua). currently in the middle of dragonbone
chair (thanks to this conference :')).
