Correct. It is held when the Worldcon is held out of North America.

1106.4SCHOOL::BOBBITTbut that coccoon has to go...Tue Sep 15 1992 14:3310

    *shucks*, and the originally-a-joke-bid 95-in-95 (supposedly a con to
    be held on the median strip of I-95 from Maine to Florida) actually got
    some serious votes for the NASFiC bid too!

    NASFiC is the con held in North America when Worldcon goes someplace
    else - for those who can't travel or don't wish to.

    If I remember correctly 95-in-95 almost WON.

    Also The NASFiC will be in July in 95. I believe it will be run by
    the folks that put on Dragoncon each year.

    I was up there counting the votes for this one. Boy were there some
    relieved '95 in '95 people when they came in second.

    They ran an excellent write-in bid and were actually trying to pull a
    Washington DC locale together.
