975.0. "CYBERNETIC SHOGUN ?????" by YUPPY::MCINTYRE () Wed Apr 24 1991 15:11

    I'm looking for a book I saw in a bookshop in London about 6 months
    ago. I read the back cover and decided to buy the book (and it's
    predecessor)..unfortunatley I was distracted and then forgot to
    purchase the book..when I went back it was gone, and wouldn't you know
    it..I'd forgotten the Author BUT NOT THE TITLE..haha

    The book was called the CYBERNETIC SHOGUN and was either part one or
    part two of a series..

    Can anyone tell me the Author or anything about the books.

    Many thanks in advance

975.1Samurai part 2 ?TROA02::SKEOCHGodzilla vs. the SmurfsWed Apr 24 1991 22:0910
	Perhaps it is the sequel to CYBERNETIC SAMURAI, by Victor Milan,
	published by ACE in December 1986.

	I'd like to find it too, if it is.

Cheers,

    Ian...YOU GOT IT...Victor Milan was the author, and I also now remember
    the title of the first book..you guessed..Cybernetic Samurai.

    Have you read the Samurai ?

    I shall be ordering both books today from Forbidden Planet on New
    Oxford Street.

    Thanks for the help.

	I enjoyed Samurai -- an interesting idea.

	Be sure and post a review of SHOGUN as soon as you can!

	(Actually, I probably won't wait for your review -- I'm leaving on
	holidays tomorrow, and I'll be checking the bookstores!)

Cheers,

I enjoyed "Cybernetic Samurai", except for the soft-porn parts. Not that I'm a
prude, but it seemed more like an obligatory throw-in just to broaden the
market. It hearkens back to the days of cruddy pulps with half-naked maidens
about to be violated by the evil monsters. This ain't some TV mini-series
with Joan Collins...
