1004.0. "License from Pathworks 4.1B to Pathworks 32" by HGOVC::EDMONDLEUNG () Mon Apr 14 1997 14:46

    Hi,

    One of our customers who purchased around 40 licenses for Pathworks
    4.1B for Windows NT running under WNT V3.51 around half year ago. Now
    they want to use the new version of Pathworks 32 V7.0 on their WNT
    platform. Before doing so, here are some questions want to clarify
    first:

    1. Since Pathworks 32 V7.0 does not support WNT V3.51, does that mean
       customer must upgrade WNT 3.51 to WNT 4.0 first?

    2. Can the customer use the old Pathworks 4.1B client license fo
       Pathworks 32 V7.0? Or they need to buy the upgrade license in order
       to the Pathworks 32 V7.0?

    Thanks for any advise.
    Edmond

>>>
>>> Yes. PATHWORKS 32 only runs on V4.0 of Windows NT.
>>>

    2. Can the customer use the old Pathworks 4.1B client license fo
       Pathworks 32 V7.0? Or they need to buy the upgrade license in order
       to the Pathworks 32 V7.0?
>>>
>>> PATHWORKS 32 is a ***major*** enhancement to PATHWORKS V4.1B for Windows NT
>>> and therefore requires the customer to buy an (inexpensive) upgrade license
>>> use it.

>>>
>>> Of course all this info is readily available in the SPD...which is why
>>> such documents are written...
