2242.0. "/usr/OV/databases backup/restore" by OTOOA::kap430.kao.dec.com::mbaker (Could be better...but would cost more!) Fri Apr 25 1997 14:02
Hi,
I would like to backup the Netview /usr/OV/databases directories (maps, topo db,
etc,etc) and then restore it
on a standby system in case the node usually running Netview fails. What is the
best way to do this ?
- Do I need to stop Netview (all deamons) to properly backup the databases direc
tory. If not which daemon should I stop ?
- When I restore the files on the second node, it seems like the databse files r
efer to the nodename of the node they were created on. Seems
like I cannot restore the backed up /usr/OV/databases directory structure to ano
ther node (that has a different node name). Is there any
workaroud for this ??
Tx
Michel
