| Well, your best bet is to see a professional homeopath.
Sure, I can try to prescribe over the network, but I've
only had limited success. Notes isn't the best place to
look for a cure.
Mouth/tooth infection. The first two remedies that come
to mind are Baptisia and Hepar Sulph.
I need to know if there is pain. What kind (sharp, throbbing,
etc.) How bad is it? What makes it better/worse? Does
the pain seem all out of proportion to the ailment? How
are *you* reacting to the situation? (frantic, depressed?)
Are you experiencing other symptoms along with the infection
that seem like a coincidence?
What color is the area? What does it look like? Are your
glands swollen? Does it smell/taste bad? What does it taste
or smell like? Is there discharge? What is *that* like?
Even with all this information I'm not sure *I* could pick
out the right remedy. There are people much better at it
than me.
I'm glad you at least have a dental(?) appointment lined up.
Best of luck,
Tom

| Tom,
Many thanks for your quick response.
Your point about consulting a homoeopath is appreciated.
Thank you for making it.
As it happens, I'm only looking for suggestions - not a
prescription. The sort of thing I might resort to if really
caught out.
If you're interested in the symptoms etc then I'll mail you
off-line. The last thing I want to do is put people off -
particularly if they're reading this during a lunch break :-)

| Something that may help also is a mouth rinse with anthium dioxide (
fancy name for chlorine dioxide), which is something a lot of dentists
state side are using for chronic halotosis.
We've been using a 5% solution for a few years now for a lot of uses
not just oral. It seems this stuff oxidizes bacteria and food films,
and disinfects like crazy. The toxic rating is about the same as water
(depending on where you live of coarse :) ).
