345.0. "Can you copy a file to VAXmail??" by DARTH::HERNANDEZ (Manny Hernandez) Thu Oct 30 1986 00:05

    Does anyone know if there is a way of copying a file directly
    to VAXmail.

    e.g.  $ copy file.lis node::"29="

    I know the above is a kludged idea of what I'd like to do.
    I'm working on a program that might find this ability useful.

    Thanks

    Manny

      If your object is to issue a one-line DCL command, you can
      use

         $ MAIL /SUBJ="whatever" file.lis node::username

  	You may want to take the above advice and also look into
  the LIB$DO_COMMAND or LIB$SPAWN run time library routines

345.3I have a DCL routine that does that ...CYCLPS::BAHNWell yes, I DO live on an island ...Sun Nov 23 1986 19:367
I have a copy of the "anonymous MAIL" routine that does what (I
think) you want. If you'd like a copy, send me MAIL and I'll
FORWARD it to you.
