125.0. "Mail to Nobody" by AKOV68::NORRIS () Tue Jun 11 1985 19:46

	Does anybody know what happens when you issue the command

		$ Mail file-spec " "

	The status symbol is %X10000001 which indicates a success,
	but where did the mail go?

	I think you have to be careful about the statuses that VMS Mail returns
- they seem to be fairly random !

If you set the status before you exit the image, you get a message, which
isn't very pretty. When I do stuff that isn't really supposed to return
the status per se, I set it to SS$_NORMAL before I return.

Isn't there a bit you can set in your message/status longword that will
supress the message? %x1000000 comes to mind (I may be off a 0 on that).
This would let you return a status but not get the (ugly) message.

%x10000000. Bluejay, you were off by a zero.
