55.0. "Acrobat Setup in FrameMaker Docs" by TNPUBS::JORDAN () Tue Jun 03 1997 18:14

With Acrobat Setup in FrameMaker, you can print a book
to a .PS file with Acrobat data inside. During subsequent
conversion of the .PS file to .PDF with the Acroba Distiller,
that data converts to a bookmark list and hotlinks for
navigating your book in the Acrobat Reader.

Here's how to set up your book with Acrobat data:

    1. Open your book file and select Print... from the File menu.

    2. In the Print Files in Book dialog box, select the files
that you want to include in this printing. Then click Print....

    3. In the Print Book dialog box, check Generate Acrobat Data.
The Print Only to File: checkbox is automatically enabled.
Specify a name and location for your file. Then click
       Acrobat Setup....

    4. In the Acrobat Setup dialog box, select the paragraph tags
that you want to include as your sources for the bookmark
list. (You'll have to exclude quite a few tags with the
Information Mapping template, but you have to do this only
       once.)

You should include these paragraph tags, at the hierarchy
       levels suggested by the indents:

       Ttl Preface
       Ttl Chapter Name
         Ttl Overview Map
         Ttl Map
           Ttl Block Label
       Ttl Glossary
       Ttl Index

       Click Set.

    5. In the Print Book dialog box, check your printer setup
properties to make sure that your PostScript output will
be optimized for portability, not speed. Then click Print.
Your PostScript file with Acrobat data is generated.

Now you can run the .PS file through the Acrobat Distiller
    for .PDF output.
